I went down to visit my parents today and they pointed out a nest in
their front yard and a large bird...turns out to be a YCNH. They said
there were at least 4 of them because they had seen three and could hear
others calling. The one pictured must be the female as she remained on
the nest the entire time I was there. She never sat on the nest, but
was constantly arranging and moving the twigs. The male was in a nearby
tree and left when I walked out to look. Before he left, we were
standing near the house listening to them chatter back and forth....a
really pretty call they have. I only have a couple of the pics posted
and will work on more tomorrow.
