Hi VA-Birders,
For the Hampton Roads Bird Club May 15 field trip, we explored York River State
Park. With 19 participants, we had lots of eyes and ears to observe and
identify the 62 species we tallied. Many of the 15 warbles species were right
around the parking lot, and most people had great looks at the American
Redstart (2 male), Blackburnian (female), Magnolia, Yellow and Yellow-throated
Warblers. Summer Tanagers were abundant, and we enjoyed seeing a two Great Blue
Heron nests with young.
Complete list follows.
