The marsh at the confluence of the North and South Branches of the
Rivanna River, Albemarle County, has been productive this spring. In
April it had Marsh Wren, American Bittern, Sora and Virginia Rail.
This week it has had Common Moorhen and Least Bittern. Stauffer
