While the grand finale today of the Indian Magic crabapple earned its keep
until Monday, I just came in from planting another tree. While working on
that project, we heard our first chuck-wills-widow of this season. Having
said that, my son mentioned he thought he may have heard it last evening,
but when only one call was heard, he decided he was not positive enough to
claim it.
