I hope this is not off-topic .. we are looking to improve on our current
photographic capability, which is a Nikon L105. It's a fine all-around camera,
but we want to capture better bird photos, primarily to 1) ID what we're
looking at; and 2) document any rarities we find.
I.e. we're not looking for publication quality here, and we don't want to pay a
lot.
I've heard a lot about digiscoping, but never tried it. Do I need to buy a
spotting scope, or can I use a camera with my binoculars (Canon 12X40 IS)?
If this is off-topic, please reply to me off-line. Thanks!!
