Nine people participated in this morning’s Northern Virginia Bird Club walk.
We observed 39 species. Highlights of the walk were a fly over of a large
flock of Tundra Swans, a noisy interaction between a red shouldered hawk and
great blue heron in the marsh, and the flushing a Cooper’s hawk from the reeds
at the start of the boardwalk. The complete list for the walk is shown below.
