Hello birders,
My apologies. VA-Bird is continuing to prevent me from sending emails from my
cell phone. I sent this message (below) Wednesday morning, but only now
realized that it never came through.
I really wish we could fix this ongoing issues with the listserve. If anyone
wanted a shot at going to see those Vireos, their chance has been delayed
essentially 2 full days because of this computer / software issue.
More tech details: you may notice below that I intentionally sent this to both
"listserve.com" and also "listserv.com". Rich previously suggested that might
be the source of my difficulties here. But in response, I received an email
saying that "listserv.com" had no such domain "va-bird"; and also the usual
frustrating response from VA-Bird, saying "The message's content type was not
explicitly allowed". I have checked carefully, and there does not appear to be
any "content type" in my sent messages, for the list serve to reject.
I have also checked that my phone is sending these emails from my registered
email account with VA-Bird. You can see that yourself in the message below
that VA-Bird sent back to me.
Again, my apologies for getting this word out so late. I have no access to my
laptop when I'm out in the field; and VA-Bird is continuing to prevent me from
emailing from my phone.

Hello Birders,
The NY Monuments location (Prince William) was up to its typical high standard
for fall migration this morning.
Nice variety including 9 warbler species, but by far the highlight for me was
two (2) Philadelphia Vireos and a Yellow-throated which sang. Also my FOS
Ruby-crowned Kinglet.
Good birding,
Steve Johnson
