Howdy
The marsh wren was present for the third day in a row in small marshy spot on
the edge of the Flint Hill School west campus giving great views. This tiny
patch of cat-tails is about the size of our school minibus. Palm warblers, both
kinglets, and a house wren are also still in the area.
In looking at my records for marsh wren here on campus, we saw our first one in
a non-marshy area (school courtyard) on Sept 20, 2005. Other records, all in
the same vicinity of this year's bird, were 15 Oct 2007, 17 and 18 Oct 2008,
and this bird 20 Oct until at least today, the 22nd.
