Jane Frigo, Julie Breeden and I were surprised to see a flock of 30+ Pine
Siskins fly into Newport News park this morning.  They landed in a dead tree
near the Swamp Bridge, where some individuals dropped down into the swamp and
out of view, perhaps attracted to the alder shrubs.  A Blue Jay screamed by and
the flock was off again, flying towards the main lake.  The flight behavior of
this flock was amazing.  Have fun,

Nick Flanders
Newport News
