Yesterday, while my mother and I were driving across the Berkley bridge (I-264
at the crossing of the south branch of the Elizabeth River), at about 3pm,
while heading towards VA Beach, I saw a falcon flying just about directly
overhead and traveling in the same direction.
I was driving and didn't get a very good look at the bird -- besides I scared
my mother with my shouting -- but, I believe it was a Peregrine Falcon due to
the size and shape of its wings.
