I had all the usual yard birds today, plus 3 raptors: one adult bald eagle
at about 8 am, an unidentified hawk at about 12 noon, and an osprey with a
fish at 4:30 pm. It seems that the lake that borders my backyard
(Ironbridge Lake) attracts quite a variety! I also had a red-shouldered
hawk twice in the last week. Waterfowl on the lake is dwindling, but there
are still a few ring-necked ducks, lots of coots, and a pied-billed grebe.
