Sorry i don't have time for the complete list but the highlights from my trip
today (oct 19) to King george and Westmoreland Counties included:
1 flyover flock of 18 pine siskins King George Ponds
The arrival of quite a few waterfowl at King George Ponds including 16
pied-billed grebe, 22 american wigeon, 26 gadwall, 12 shoveler, 165 ruddies
(including one in gorgeous breeding plumage), 350 ring-necked ducks, a pair of
pintail, and 4 green-winged teal.
Waterfowl in Leedstown (Westmoreland) included 85 green-winged teal and 30 wood
duck.
At King George Ponds there waere 20 tree swallows and a small flock of
unidentiable peep flying around, and in leedstown a snipe and 4 Pectoral
sandpipers flew over.
There was a sora in Leedstown and hundreds of blackbirds mostly red-wings, but
two flocks of rusties also flew by (18 and 30).
There was a large influx of yellow-rumped warblers (160) and sparrows
including savannah (110), swamp (45), song (55), field (15), chipping (15),
white-crowned (30), white-throat (20), and junco (3).
There were a few other warblers besides yellow-rumpeds: 1 pine, 2
black-throated green, 3 cape may, 2 blackpoll, and 6 palm, but surprisingly no
yellowthroats.
Got to go
I hope you have a great week.
