Nice assortment of warblers (11 species) this morning at Leesylvania moving in
mixed flocks (so hit or miss). I started before dawn at the pier parking lot.
Not much activity. Moved on to Bushy Pt. from 7:30-9:00. Lots of gulls at the
marina. There were mixed flocks along the boardwalk trail between the road and
the second boardwalk in, mostly on the water side, and more along the road by
the marsh and across the road. Warblers seen here were Bl.-thr. Blue, Magnolia,
N. Parula, Am. Redstart, Y.-thr., Bl. & W., Blackpoll, Prothonotary. Ran into
Mark Ribaudo here; he reported N. Waterthrush. We also saw a pair of Willow or
Alder Flycatchers between the road and marsh.
From 9:00-10:00, I was between the park entrance and Powell's Cr. parking
areas. Saw a pair of imm. Cape May W. down low working the brush just in
toward the beaver pond. Along the road, N. Parula, Magnolia, Bl.-Thr. Green,
Am. Redstart, and Canada W., and a couple of Scarlet Tanagers. Complete list
