Hi Maire,

How are you?. Great to see you here on the list and I hope some of us here
will be able to help you with your problem. Can I ask you first, what screen
access program are you using?.
Is it:
* jaws.

*. Supernova.

*Zoomtext etc.

Also are you trying to access the attachment from within an email you have
in your inbox?.

Answering the above questions will make it easier for one of us here to
answer your question.

Regards,

Paul.

Subject: [vip_students] accessing email attachment

Hi Fellow Listers,
May I wish a very Happy New Year to all students and tutors alike. While
the list was inoperative after Christmas I sent out an S.O.S for help in
accessing/downloading an email attachment, and am still stuck on that one.
This is a photo taken before Christmas.
I am still very much a novice and would appreciate direction.

Many thanks,
            Maire O'Kelly

Hi Maureen,

I think your problem with my instructions is that you are using a copy of
kurzweil which is older than version 6 perhaps. If so then instead of
looking for "microsoft word" in the list of save as file types look for
"RTF" which stands for "Rich Text Format". This is also similar to the
normal word file type of ".doc" and will act in the same way.

Hope this helps some, if not then please contact me again and we could talk
over the phone if you like.

Regards,

Paul.

Hello Paul, I followed your tutorial about changing kes files to word files,
but with no success. I tried many times but no luck so far. My computer is
98 windows, and jaws 3.7. Regards, Maureen Murray.
