[vip_students] Ad aware icon - AVG - Parental Control - broadband connection????

Hi all
Well I'm 'still' cleaning up my pc and its posing many questions for me.
Q 1 I've found an icon on my desktop entitled ' ad aware' (shortcut). I've
tried to open it to see what it is and when I do, it says that windows is
closing this programme. Should I delete it. Don't know when or where I got it.
Q 2 I'm using AVG for virus protection. Is this adaquate?
Q 3 Is parental control an option with AVG?
Q 4 I switched to broadband and I'm having to connect everytime I switch on
or go from one programme to another. I'm definately on broadband because the
speed is GREAT. I love it but I use broadband at work and its always
connected. What should I do about it?.
