Paul,
Good to hear from you - the Trojan warning continues to appear - it occurs mainlly when I boot up - not every time - but most times ---- I can make it disappear by hitting Enter at delete on the first list of options - I then tab to delete button on the next screen of options and I then hit the spacebar - and this clears the screen - but in the goodness of time the virus warning again comes up - what am I doing incorrectly - or more likely not doing correctly - I look forward to your reply.

Best Regards,

Hi Aiden,

Nice to see you on the list. You outlined the choices you are presented by
avast and I would suggest that without worry you should choose the "delete
option". Once you press enter on the delete option you will be presented
with a second screen that will throw up a follow up delete button and you
need to press the spacebar on this to make final your decision.
Paul.

Subject: [vip_students] Avast - how do I deal with Trojan warning

19 November 2007
I have received an Avast Trojan warning - can someone please help me.

I am being offered various options on the screen such as delete or repair
etc. but I am unaware of WHAT OPTION TO exercise - as I am equally unAWARE
OF THE POSSIBLE DETRIMENTAL consequences of choosing THE "wrong" option.

Does Avast not automatically delete any such virus - as and when they occur.

In anticipation - Ilook forward to hearing from someone.

This is my first message to the VIP fold and as such may I wish you all well
- I may have little to offer on a technical level but I look forward to
interacting with you all in the spirit of friendship and goodwill.

Regards,

Aidan Carolan
