Hi Tony,

I can highly recommend Fas in Jervis Street Dublin. A number of instructors
there have undergone training in the use of Assistive technology.

Kind Regards,

Stuart.

Hi Eleanor again,
and All,

Rather than just simply contacting Fas or other I was also trying to discern
how individuals taking the ECDL courses who are blind, where they go for
such training and if the facilities for them as blind students are adequate
for their requirements.

I understand that screenreaders if not already installed at the training
venue that that can in most cases be easily sorted!

What support did you find is available for blind students in terms of course
material?

Sorry, but it would be great to establish this.

Great you got the ECDl sorted!

All the best,

Tony Sweeney.

Hello Tony,

As Ger said in his e-mail, I completed my ECDl a year ago through FAS in
Limerick which allowed me to work around the day that suited. Try and
contact the main office in Dublin which I believe would give you the proper
information on where you can abail of this in the Dublin area.
I hope the above will give you the chance to persue of the ECDL course.

Kind regards,

Eleanor McLoughlin
