Hi Loretta,Thanks for those instructions for the Eircom phone book which were clear and easy to follow. However everything goes fine for me until I press enter on find. Then JAWS says "cannot find server, the page cannot be displayed" yet I can get into other sites on the internet. I am using JAWS 5.10. Any ideas?

Hi All, The following are guidelines to perform a simple search for a phone number on the Eircom Phone Book which is available to us on-line.1. When you have the Internet opened up on screen you highlight the addressbar with the shortcut keys Alt and D. 2. Type or paste in the following address: http://www.eircomphonebook.ie/ 3. You are now presented with two edit boxes: (you can get to these edit boxes by pressing the letter e)The first one is "who are you looking for?" You must press enter or spacebarto activate forms mode which will then allow you to type into these boxes. Here you just type in the name of the person or business you are searching for. The second edit box which you can get to now by using your tab key is "Where?" As forms mode is still activated you can now just simply type in the town or county of the person or business you are searching for.4. Now tab again and you will here "Find button". I would suggest that youtab once more before starting your search so that you pick the correct category for your search which is either business or residential. Thischoice is presented to you by two radio buttons and you just simple arrow upor down to select the one you require. Having select this you now must shift tab back to the "Find button" and by either entering or pressing spacebar your search will commence. 5. The results will come up quite quickly and the easiest way of finding them is by using the find facility. To do this use the shortcut keysControl F and type in the word results and press enter. This will jump youto your search results on the page and then just down arrow to read them all. Best of luck, Loretta. -----Original Message----- From: vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of albertbrown Sent: 07 May 2007 14:30 To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vip_students] Re: Listening to radio on the net! Following on from Paul's really comprehensive tutorial on listening to radio I thought about sharing some pointers with you all on winamp, which is a media player. Winamp has a very nice little feature called the 'Media Library', which has many radio stations built into its tuner. Its unfortunately not the easiest thing to use and is very dependent on the version of jaws you are using. Would people be interested in hearing more on this area?
