Subject: [NVDA] Welcome to NVDA 2015 tutorials: basics modules finished

Hi all,

I'm delighted to announce the completion of basic modules for 2015 NVDA
tutorials (now officially named "Welcome to NVDA 2015"). The entire set,
again in nine parts, will be done by early April.

The tutorial can be found at:

http://www.nvda-kr.org/en/

Changes in the second edition:

. Part 1 has been updated to include recently changed system
requirements, particularly for those using older operating systems. Also
added Windows 8.1 as a supported version of Windows.

. Also in part 1, the last section and start and exiting NVDA now
includes procedures to restart NVDA via the new exit options combo box
introduced last year.

. An introductory segment on touchscreen commands has been added in
part 2.

. Part 3 has been rewritten to integrate review modes and 2013
laptop keyboard layout commands. Some of the segments now have new examples.

. Added a segment in part 3 to talk about and demonstrate
touchscreen commands.

I'm sure we have some new users onboard. If that's you, I'd like to
recommend that you listen to these basic modules (especially the first two
parts) to listen to NVDA in action. For those curious about what review
modes are or to get a feel for touchscreen and mouse commands, part 3 would
be the tutorial you might be interested in. I'll upload the next few
chapters in the coming days.

Cheers,

Joseph
