[vip_students] Facebook and Twitter

Hi All
Sorry for this question. I have a FaceBook account but rarely use it. Now I
had a communication from FaceBook today and someone whom I have responded to on
a list like this, it was a Talks list, sent me a message. Clearly she had
forgotten where she had communicated with me and said in the message she
recognised my name from a list. Now I do not know how FaceBoook really works,
but how can she send me a message? Is it possible for example for me to post
to FaceBook in General or must I only jpost to someone's facebook where they
hve given me permission, other than that, can it only be my own FaceBook page?
Similarly with Twitter. Say for example, I know a particular charity I am
interested in and it has a FaceBook page, can I post to that FaceBook page?
