Hi Francis,
Many thanks for that.
Last night I found every time I called up ie8 Jaws went to a blank screen
and I had to do alt+tab to get into the ie8 window. I went checking Jaws
basic settings as suggested on a blog but changing these did nothing for the
problem. So, I went checking the view settings of ie8. I found at the very
bottom a reference to "Babylon toolbar". I disabled this and wola the
problem cleared and Jaws landed on the edit field every time on starting
ie8! I then went into Manage addons under tools in ie8 and disabled all
addons. So far all is well.
I have no idea where this Babylon toolbar came from.
Kind regards
Aedan.

Hi Aedan,

Here's a solution Paul put forward below. I know this worked for some people

I worked with. Once we changed the setting to Windows 7 Basic all focus
issues were corrected. Hope that helps.

Francis.
