[vip_students] Mobile Phone Dictionary

Hi All,
I'm a bit baffled!
I am wondering about the dictionary in 'writing messages.
Now when I activate the dictionary option by pressing the hash key twice I
proceed to write but it is resulting in "jibberish" not the letters I'm writing
at all!
Could someone explain please about the dictionary and how to successfully
manage it?
Now I am fairly sure that it has nothing to do with 'predictive text as that
feature is in settings.
I am currently using the E65!
