Hi Eleanor Once you have downloaded the portable version to a USB drive you can run it from any PC just insert the drive and open it go to the NVDA link and hit enter and you have audio on the PC, this works very well with Windows 7 as the narrator voice is very good but it may not work so well with older versions of windows and you may get a fairly hard to listen to voice.
