I use NVDA and find it very useful especially if i need to use a different PC
than my own as you can keep a portable version on a USB drive. If you want to

Learnt this morning from a friend a little about Cloud Computing which
appears to make life a lot easier (so they tell us) whereby a lot of what you
need is going to be up in a cloud on the net so to speak so no need to be
downloading many programmes as The Cloud will be there for all that; well
that's how it goes.
Perhaps The Mod may do a little tutorial on the subject some time as I
wouldn't know enough as yet to so do myself.

no I just heard of the program and my friend said that she has started
to use it, it was just to be while she was deciding what screen reader, she is
really impressed with it.
so sorry for what may seem like juvenile questions but I use my
computer for writing letters, keeping our household accounts and mainly very
basic things like that. as I have so many other things going on in my life I
don't really get a chance to get the most out of my computer, plus it does not
interest me enough to be sat in front of a computer all day, I would stiffen up
and probably wouldn't be able to get out of my computer chair. so I hope folk
don't mind my seemingly petty questions but which are very meaningful to me.

Yes I have heard of it and have read a little about it.
and it's good by all accounts although I haven't had the need to use
that programme myself.
Some use that programme as a back up to Jaws for example; not always
necessary by the way.
Love your questions as although some of us on the list are a littttle
advanced, it reminds me that we all do not know everything; still learning too!
Now (Susan) do you have a specific query re NVDA?
