In this tutorial we will make a simple call using Skype 5 and with the
scripts installed.

1. After opening up Skype 5, use keys "control + 1" to jump into the
contacts list.
Note: The keystroke control + 1 will not work unless you have the jaws
scripts installed.

2. Before I begin to make my call I will first open the tools menu and go to
options within my Skype software and I should add this need only be done
once. What we will do here is make a small settings change in the options.
So press keys, "alt + T" and then arrow down to options then press enter.

3. Once in Options, you will be on the "general" page of settings. Press the
tab key once and it will say "double click a contact to start a call", Just
press the spacebar on this to check it.
Note: What this does is that when in future after making this setting change
you press enter on a person's name within your Skype contacts a call will
begin straight away to the person you have chosen.
While we are within the settings menu of Skype we should also enable
shortcut keys. After making the above setting and before you tab over to the
save button, press the shift + tab keys to jump back into the list of
available pages. Remember we are on the first tab page which is "General",
press the down arrow key to move to the "hotkeys" page then press tab key
once to check the box, "enable shortcut keys" and now tab over to the save
button to complete the settings change.
Note: What this does is that whenever someone tries to call you and you wish
to accept that call just use keys, "alt + page up" to answer their call.
When you wish to hang-up just use keys, "alt + page down" and there you go.

4. Tab over to the "save" button and hit the spacebar to complete the
settings change.

5. Now back in the contacts list we have our current list of friends,
relatives and so on added in. We wish to make a call to one of those
members so we can use the arrow keys to move up or down through this list.
Note: Generally anyone who is within our contact list using Skype and who is
currently "on-line@" will be at the top of the contacts list. This is the
default position when you install Skype. As you arrow through each contact,
jaws and Skype will tell you if that person is currently on-line, away or
off-line.

6. Once we have moved to the person we wish to call we then press enter on
their name. If everything is working correctly a gentle thumping sound
should begin followed by a phone calling tone which indicates to us that we
are making the call.
Note: Contacts who are in our contact list and only have phone number
details and no Skype name will have no indication if they are at home,
available or otherwise.

7. If your call is picked up on the other side by your friend then both of
you can start talking.
