I didn’t mean to imply that online there’s an accessible paid subscription
version of the Irish Times itself.
When I made contact with them a few years ago, they weren’t able to say if the
paid version was screen-reader accessible (as such). I did once attempt – about
a year ago - to get the ‘trial’ version, after which you’d pay, via my iPhone;
but it was taking so long to get anywhere that I eventually cancelled out of
filling the required form for it.
With the smartphone app, in the free edition you’re allowed to read twenty
articles per week. I have also found, that when I reach the desktop/PC weekly
limit of temn, that I could read more articles on my laptop (which I might not
have used for it during the past week).
Thus, it seems to run on a per computer basis, so if you’ve more than one
computer... Now the RNIB version that I mentioned is somewhat curtailed in that
many of the news stories that are likely to be breaking stories, and longer
feature items, aren’t featured in it.
I don’t think the access situation has changed in the intervening years/monhts,
or we’d have been told by way of advertising or notices etc. I am also wary of
‘digital newspaper’ which usually means an exact onscreen replica of the print
edition. The quality of such text is very poor in OCR results where necessary,
and it is often enough, particularly in the smartphone app (s). (One might get
lucky if there’s a pdf included with the paper, though.
The RNIB edited version comes in a .zip file, with an .html file and a text
file. If interested in pursuing that avenue, contact the RNIB in the usual
ways. Now you may already know, but for the benefit of any who may not: (NCBI
also does a human-read, once- or twice-weekly ‘digest’ of articles from it,
similar to other Irish newspapers and magazines, on USB stick.

We don't know the reason for that person leaving of course but it it
definitely very sad that a great service such as EasyLinks has to suffer.
I do subscribe to the free papers you mention and the Irishh Times too but
would like in time to be able to subscribe to the Irish Times paid in the
future.
Do you know how I can do that?
We had a little discussion of that a while back but things may have changed
now.
Is Talking Newspapers still doing that paper and if so is it worth
subscribing to there in your opinion?

reads has gone, i read the guardian daily, and will miss it, can anyone suggest
a newspaper on the net to which i can subscribe, i don’t mind paying, something
tells me i read somewhere that the irish times is available on the net, are
there any other newspapers available that are accessible? hope someone can
