Hi all,

Just to let you know that VICS The Visually Impaired Computers Society in
conjunction with NCBI will be holding a technology day focusing solely on
mobile technology. This event will take place in the National Council For
The Blind Of Ireland, Whitworth rd, Drumcondra, Dublin 9, on Saturday the
7th of May. The presentations will start at 11,00.
Further details will be circulated closer to the day.

Also on that date the VICS annual general meeting will take place. I will
send formal notification of this later today. It will take place at 2,30 in
the afternoon at the same venue. I would encourage as many people to attend
this meeting as it is the place to discuss issues facing VICS and its future
work. In addition, as many of the current committee members are not seeking
re-election, we need for more members to allow their names to go forward for
election to the committee. Therefore, if you wish to take part in the work
done by the committee I would encourage you to attend the AGM. However, if
you are unable to attend the meeting and still wish to allow your name go
forward for election, you can provide me the information in writing.
Details governing how to do this will be in the formal email of notification
which I will send later. Note, the committee meetings tend to be held over
the internet, so people from outside of dublin are able to also take part.

Thanks

Esmond
