As far as I know, it does then appear as starred, black dots, whatever. You might try it somewhere and see. Some of the mixed-case password types they recommend are difficult to remember, anyway.

Interesting one Flor, does the password then appear in the field as black dots? rather than as text? ----- Original Message -----From: "Flor Lynch" <florlync@xxxxxx>To: <vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 27, 2011 10:31 PM Subject: [vip_students] Re: echoing passwordsHi jackie, time was when JAWS echoed everything in the password, so there was no protection from eavesdroppers. those days are gone. why not type your password in Notepad, perfectly with no extra spaces, select and copy it to clipboard, then paste it into the password field. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie McBrearty" <donegal.jackie@xxxxxxxxx>To: <vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 27, 2011 2:57 PM Subject: [vip_students] echoing passwords Hey allis there a way that I can get jaws to echo passwords, getting out of practice using a full size keyboard can't seem to enter a password correctly.thanks Jackie
