This is the first of two messages. Hi John, yes, that did have something to do with it. changed them all back to WMP. I don't know why, but even people who used Winamp had problems with CAPTCHA's. They are .wav files, and the encoding must be such that they can't be re-recorded on the machine. (That's a guess as to why.So to change it, go into Windows media Player. there, go into Tools -> Preferences ->
File Types Tab. You will see a select all button and a listview. I prefer to use ctrl-shift-end in the listview to select them all thus. there are oonly about 13 file types, give or take a few. But the important thing is that CAPTCHA files will be reassociated with WMP when you do this selection. A totally alternative solution - actually there are two - is to use the WebVisum add-on with Firefox. Using firefox, it is available to download at www.webvisum.com - and you need to get an invitation code to use it, which you can generate yourself or have someone else invite you. The other solution, which again DOES NOT WORK in Internet Explorer, but does work with any other Web browser, is called Rumola: and you can find out more about it at: www.rumola.com . You can regfister for it, for a demo copy, which last a number of tries, so that if you're happy you will pay a small amount for CAPTCHA's to be done - 'credits', as they are called. It is part human, part automated. you can choose whether you want human or automated operation on individual CAPTCHA's, apparently. (I've only recently learned about it.)----- Original Message ----- From: "John O'Regan" <john.a.oregan@xxxxxxxxx>

Hello All, I'm using JAWS 13, IE 11, and Win 7. I've been accessing Facebook via the mobile site (http://m.facebook.com/) and everything has been going fine. But just now I hit a snag. FB threw up a Security Check. It's another one of those captchas. I click on the Audio version, but nothing happens. Help! I recently changed all my media file associations to VLC because WMP wouldn't play nice with PayPal's captcha .wav file. Maybe that has something to do with it. If so, what do I do about it? Change them all back? How? Like I said before, help!
