Hi Susan,

Do you have a lot of messages in the Deleted Items folder? if so, you should
delete them from out of it.
Also, open the Tools menu, "Alt, T", arrow down to Options and press enter
key. Use keys, "Control + Tab" to jump onto the Maintenance tab.
Tab over to and press spacebar on the "Clean Up button" Now button and
then press the Spacebar on each button to free up space. (You won't delete
any emails, just remove any junk)
Also in the Tools menu, go into options again and uncheck the second
checkbox which I think launches Windows Messenger each time Outlook Express
is opened up, use the Spacebar to uncheck this option and then tab to and
press Spacebar on the OK button.
At the end of the day you will always have various processes working behind
the scenes when you open up a program such as OE which will hinder its speed
and efficiency, personally I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Paul.
