Hi Kathleen,

Try the following;

1. While on your desktop with nothing open, press keys, "Insert + Number 6"
this is the number "6" just above the main letters of your keyboard.
Note: At this point the jaws settings centre should open up, if so move onto
my next step below.
2. Press keys, "Control + Shift + letter D" to open up the default settings
centre.
You should just hear jaws say something like Default settings centre.
3. At this point begin typing the word "Verbosity" without the quotes.
Notes: Jaws will now say something like "six results found" or something
like that, arrow down to where it says, "Verbosity Level" and it will say
its set to beginner.
4. When you have arrowed to the Verbosity level result, press the spacebar
once to toggle it to "Intermediate" then press the tab key to go to the
"Apply button" and press the spacebar.
5. Next tab over to the OK button and press spacebar to complete. This
should do what you want.

Good luck,

Paul.
