Hi Susan, Try the following: 1. Go into my documents and do as you mentioned, go into the view menu and enter on list. 2. Next go into the tools menu from where you are and enter on "folder options". 3. When in folder options, make sure that the very first list box says something like "use classic desktop" or something with the word classic in it. Just up or down arrow to set this.4. Now do a control + tab key to go into the views tab page. As soon as youare there just hit the spacebar and a message will pop up asking if youreally want to reset the default view, tab to the yes button and press enteron it. 5. Now tab to the "ok" button and press enter again and you're done. This should maintain the list view for you.
