Sorry I don't understand. Let me explain what I understand about scanning. I would presume that you had say a letter to scan. You would place this on your scanner but using the scanner software this would produce an image which could not be accessed by a screen reader. In conjunction on your PC as well as the scanner software you will require OCR software. Then you will go in to the OCR software and do the scan. This way your screen reader will access the OCR scanned document, e.g. your letter. For example I have K1000 so if I want to scan a letter, I open K1000 and have my scanner on. Then from the Menu I go to Scan and the job gets done. Any scanner will do the job but you might like to think of abbeyfinereader, K1000 which is much more expensive, OmniPage and so on.
