How to Delete Books in iBooks App On iPhone/iPad Running iOS 8
Step #1. Launch iBooks app.
Tap on iBooks App on iPhone
Step #2. Tap on My Books from the bottom left corner.
Tap On My Books in iBooks iPhone App
Step #3. Tap on Select from the top right corner.
Tap on Select to Choose Book to Delete in iBooks
(Now, you can select all, if you want to delete all the books at once.)
Step #4. Select the books which you want to delete.
Select Books to Delete
Step #5. Now, when you tap on Delete, you get two options – Delete and Delete
This Copy.
Delete Books from iBooks App from iPhone and iPad
If you tap on Delete, your books are removed from your device but they will
still be visible in Purchased from where you can download them again.
If you tap on Delete this copy, they will still be visible there with the
iCloud icon. They won’t take space on your device but you can download them
from there only instead of going to Purchased.
If you have synced your books with all your devices registered with the same
iCloud account (Settings → iBooks → Turn on Sync Collections)
Tap on Settings iBooks and Sync Collections
You will see another option Delete from All Devices. When you tap on it, your
books will be deleted from all the iOS devices.
Delete iBooks Book from All Devices
Select any options as per your need.
That’s it!
Remember, the books have been deleted but you can still re-download them
without having to pay again. Here is how you can do so.
How To Re-Download/Recover The Deleted Books In iBooks App On iPhone/iPad
Step #1. Launch iBooks app.
Step #2. Tap on Purchased from the bottom right corner.
Tap on Purchased App in iBooks
Step #3. Tap on Not on This iPhone under Purchased.
Tap on Not on This iPhone
Step #4. You will see all the deleted books with iCloud icon. Select the books
and tap on the iCloud icon to download.
