Hi Joan Ann, Seoirse, Maureen & All, I was playing around with the undo and redo commands as a result of the interesting mails to this list! I for example wrote a mail to myself and tried the undo which cleared the print. I used punctuation marks too but the undo cleared all of that mail! I did a redo, control and the letter y and the mail was restored. Now I wonder if should I just want to undo a word or sentence or indeed a letter or paragraph how could one achieve a undo without undoing the whole mail for example? Wonder could we have a tutorial on it? I haven't used that feature in a long while but on many occasions using a toggle command can reverse an action, but obviously not in this case! Interesting stuff Seoirse awakening us to the redo! All the best, Tony Sweeney. ----- Original Message ----- From: Joan Ann Brosnan To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, November 14, 2007 9:21 PM Subject: [vip_students] Re: redo command Hi there Here is a little note on the difference between undo and re-do which can be confusing The undo command This command will return your document to its previous shape, before your last change. Simply go up to the edit option on the menu bar and select the undo command or press control and Z. The redo command The redo command will replace the action that you recently changed with the undo command. To use redo simply go up to the edit menu and press the redo option or press control and Y.
