Ecologic - Institute for International and European Environmental Policy is a private not-for-profit think tank for applied environmental research, policy analysis and consultancy with offices in Berlin and Brussels. Ecologic advises international, European, and national clients in the public and private sectors on topics covering the spectrum of environmental policy, as well as the integration of environmental topics into other policy fields. Ecologic is the German partner in the network of Institutes for European Environmental Policy. Founded in 1993, Ecologic has grown into an interdisciplinary team of 50 people.

We are currently looking for the following immediate addition to our Berlin office:

Scientist in the field of water

Responsibilities: - Independent work on European and international projects in the field of water science and policy - Project management including participation in meetings - Project acquisition - Interdisciplinary cooperation with scientific colleagues from different fields

Qualifications:
- Educational background in environmental science with a concentration
  in water
- Minimum two years professional experience in the field of water
  science protection or policy
- Comprehensive knowledge of EU water policy (EU Water Framework
  Directive, Nitrates Directive, etc.) and its relationship to other
  policy fields
- Familiarity with current water supply and treatment issues
- Ability and willingness to work in new topics
- Experience with project acquisition at the European and national
  levels
- Content to work in teams
- Excellent written and spoken English
