We’re working on making this policy a little more transparent, e.g.
RS5 preview builds have a notification the first time microphone access is
blocked.
Thank you, it's very helpful. Maybe there is a reason to use a more
specific error code too (waveInOpen returns MMSYSERR_ERROR that
doesn't associated with the cause).
