Martin,
There is a related IHV issue:
Until now, the KMixer(and it's other cousins from Microsoft) have been the
only KS clients that the drivers have had to deal with - except for a few
programs like Cakewalk Sonar.
KMixer/SysAudio/DSound use the drivers in a very specific manner.
When this white paper comes out, many more people will be using the KSAPI,
inmany more ways!
Also, I'm not sure if the current WHQL/HCTs tests the drivers using KSAPI
calls?

I've heard a lot of hue and cry from **IHVs** about this. We do not =

case, I'd be interested in the reasoning (I can think of a few).

We are working towards an update to the 1394 audio driver, however we =
haven't yet set a release vehicle or date.=3D20
The features that you mention have been mentioned before and are of high =
interest to us. The capture issue is relatively straight forward. The =
multi-channel streaming is a different matter, in our opinion, as it =
isn't particularly well defined in the 1394TA specifications.=3D20
We are planning a design guide of sorts to be released with or soon =
after the updated driver, describing what has changed and how to =
successfully operate with the class driver. Feel free to contact me =
