Jeff, I'm curious what your filter driver does that would benefit any existing audio driver rather than some specific driver/device. Could you describe what it does? I am interested in case there is something we (on the audio devices team at Microsoft) should consider more carefully in future releases of Windows. The only thing you can send through WHQL are drivers for a specific device. You could get your filter signed as part of a driver stack for a specific device, but for a "generic" filter, there's nothing to sign. You don't have an INF file or a CAT file, so there no place to put a signature.
