Thats exactly the beef point, why I gived up reporting a Win7 and WASAPI exlusive bug using your test app about a clear dealing with the buffer twist deal.

Started the bug reporting and MS would like to see FIRSTABLE some precharged $$$ onto my credit card...

If later MS desires to undo it... this may happens or not

Why should I personally pay

You shouldn’t have to pay to report a bug in a Microsoft product (or any other product, for that matter.) Are you being charged for the bug you filed?

I have a reported all information about different bugs 100% in Microsoft Certification Tool and a Microsoft Driver example (SYSVAD).

If you don’t care to make them work, why should I feel concerned? And why should I personally pay for that?

Now, the only think I can do is to wait the next HLK version or/and the next SYSVAD example version.

If Microsoft doesn’t care about audio, just tell it right now, everybody will save time!

We need a separate bug for each failure, since not all failures are necessarily caused by the same problem, and each problem will go to different people internally.

Already gave it, or it is not the number you want:

Incident Title:
HLK certification fails on SYSVAD Audio Driver
Support Request Number:
118090518936766

BTW: if you find someone at Microsoft who cares about audio and wants to see the SYSVAD audio driver works like a charm an the HLK process validate it 100%, feel free to put me in contact with. I’m ready to make tests, our certification bank is ready!

In other words, we are ready to follow the new Microsoft audio driver architecture and certification process!

Looking forward…
Regards
Vincent Burel

BTW: there is definitively a bug in the WIN10 audio driver installation, especially update process (Microsoft might get hundreds of report about this). But in 4 years, you did not correct it, so I guess you definitively don’t care about this problem too.

Can you share the bug IDs you filed for the HLK failures you ran into on SysVad?

Ø
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/dashboard/windows-certified-products-list
That page says “The Windows Certified Products List is offline as Sysdev has retired. It will be returning in the Fall 2018.”
There’s a “Feedback” section at the bottom of the page you can use to report issues in the documentation.

Ø
can you confirm the new audio driver for Win10 (SYSVAD) is unused (since 4 years)

Ø
and that the HLK certification process is simply useless, because not working

I found no-one in Audio industry using SYSVAD to build their audio drivers.
I found no-one in audio industry who has been successful on HLK certification process

Matthew, can you confirm the new audio driver for Win10 (SYSVAD) is unused (since 4 years)
and that the HLK certification process is simply useless, because not working ?

The Audio driver list for Win server 2016 here
https://www.windowsservercatalog.com/
shows that there is only one audio driver available : the Realtek High Definition Audio
do you know how they did it ?

BTW: The Windows Certified Driver list is not available ?

Just a simple question:

Is there someone here or do you know someone

who already submitted a HLKX package (on their Hardware dashboard) for an audio driver (WIN10 & server 2016) ?
