If you run into a problem on a version of Windows earlier than Windows 10
(e.g., Windows 7 or Windows 8.1), your best bet is to try the same scenario on
Windows 10. If the same problem happens, submit a Feedback Hub problem report,
with logs. If the problem only happens on the older version of Windows, you can
open a support case and we’ll figure out a way to get logs.

YES, and with the limitation of

“If you run into a problem with Windows 10”

Cheers

I want “audio and sound” logs.

Hello, Matthew,

By MME you mean waveOutOpen?

Yes.

waveOutOpen should know about the dance and take care of it
internally

I expected such behavior too but it is only "deferred": first waveOutOpen
call fails with MMSYSERR_ERROR, but in processing of the next call,
AudioDG sometimes requests RT buffer with the same size as returned by
the driver from the previous
KSPROPERTY_RTAUDIO_BUFFER_WITH_NOTIFICATION request. Only sometimes,
not every time.

If you see the error escape to the caller, please file a bug and
include logs of the problem in action.

I can provide logs from my driver and my MME application only, will they be
suitable?

Regards,
Eugene
