Can you confirm?I'm not sure if this answers your question, but for Vista I implemented a handler for the KSPROPERTY_PIN_PROPOSEDATAFORMAT property (which someone mentioned on the list), and subsequently I had multichannel playback working fine. There is an example of said handler in the WDK.
