Still a trying to start a local debugging session here.

 

No cables and no separate host etc. Just a computer that hangs when booted
with /debug

For a serial port, I've seen it search for 30 or 40 seconds before it gives
up.  For a 1394 connection, it's usually quicker than that.

the kernel debugger.


You need the changes to boot.ini (or bcdedit for Vista) on the target
computer, you need windbg running on the host computer, and you need the
cables connected properly.  Are you trying to use a serial port?
