David,Your ThreadProc code - I cannot verify this from the latest Vista SDK docs, nor from the appalling SDK example, but perhaps the event should be manual reset ? - with the handler calling ResetEvent() after processing the buffer? Otherwise I cannot see how the audio engine keeps sync with the user processing side. Does anyone else know?
BTW can I build PortAsio with your WASAPI code using the standard 1.9 release, or do I need to get the entire tree from SVN?
Thx Jerry.----- Original Message ----- From: "David Viens" <davidv@xxxxxxxxxx>

Hello JerryI had not got quite as far as code, just wondering if it was worthwhile! Are your drivers the January betas from the Creative site?Yes."Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Series Vista Beta Driver 2.12.0001 (12 Jan 07)"I posted a link a day or so back to some WaveRT driver code for CMedia chipsets. Iexpect a card to arrive tomorrow and will try it with the Portaudio code. Thanks! i dont think i have CMedia chipsets around Once you are ready to try portaudio, please drop me an email as the code is _hugely_ preliminary, and in flux. So i might have to help a little. You need to get the svn from my branch, not the main one. What kind of performance do you get with USB? ASIO equivalent, better? In fact yes, im quite surprised from the low latency i get with the UAA, i cant quote the exact numbers (cause i didnt do hardware/loopback tests), but its "very" playable. -- David Viens, Plogue Art et Technologie Inc.
