gma: Green Mountain Astronomers
Discussion list for the Green Mountain Astronomers, based in Rutland County, Vermont.
We have provided observing sessions to schools, camps, and have had members setup telescopes at community functions. We have been most noticed for our events at the Hubbardton Battlefield, which has grown to 4 events a year now.
We are an informal club, as we do not have meetings or dues. We consider ourselves an "observing club" and focus much of our time with various outreach activities, viewing the night skies with our telescopes, and more recently, solar observing. We welcome anyone to come to our events, and especially welcome those that wish to be a functioning part of our group. Many of our members have years of experience, and we are glad to have people join us at any experience level, or no experience at all. We love helping people get started in astronomy.
