Well, i don’t work with music production, which is quite a complex domain in
what concerns compressing audio, but there are some softwares that could be
used in conjunction with Audacity. For example,Levelator, or even some tools in
Sound Forge, like Wave Hammer.

For multiple songs, i would suggest a software that has batch processing. It’s
difficult to find applications that do this for free, but i think Gold Wave can
do the job. Either You can purchase Gold Wave for 60 dollars, 50 euros for a
life time licence, or 20 dollars 17 euros for a year licence.
The idea is to record and equalize the multitrack project with Audacity at the
best possible level, export the project out to a wav file, and then, master it
using one of these other solutions.
In my case, it works fine.
Hope that helps.

Vitor

Hi,

I've had this issue as well. Some of my songs are quieter than others, and when
I try to amplify them, it doesn't work. I even tried Equalisation with them and
it didn't work. :(

Any help you can provide would be sincerely appreciated.

you could also use gain change shift g and turn your sound lowder; that's about
the same. The important is to make shure individual tracks are selected, i
suppose.

My problem is that the sound is quiet and I can't amplify it to make it
louder.

      Hi all.

I have a project I am unable to amplify. It is consequently much quieter
than similar projects I have successfully managed to amplify.

      Could anyone help?

Using latest audacity build with Windows xp.

      Many thanks.

      Ron
