Hi Vitor,there's a jaws script. This is a link which Cuong posted about a year

I don't know if it's been updated since then.
In what context were you wanting to read sound levels?In the next version of 
Audacity the sound meters will be more accessible, and you'll be able to use 
them to find the peak level without having to make a test recording.
