I digitized our vinyl and tapes and cassettes, using my notetaker’s recording
app and a patch coard, they all came out perfect, thanks to the use of the
monitoring feature.

Hello everyone,
I recently started using Audacity to digitize my vinyl collection, playing them
on the new Sony turntable I bought. Thanks to some resources I found on the
web, I’ve managed to record several albums now and save them as flac to my
music server. All good so far, but I’m just saving the entire side as one
file. I’d like to be able to split up the tracks on the albums, though.

But the process described for splitting up tracks is visual in nature.
Can anyone give me some tips or point me to a resource? In particular, how
could I find the silent points between tracks and then mark them as described
in the article?
