Oh, the dreaded wind noise. It can really be a pain. Is it blustery or
constant? Constant wind is easier to deal with, but still problematical. It
sounds like I am on a single track, but one of the equalisation tools is
probably your best bet. Try lowering the level of the offending frequency.
That becomes a challenge if the noise you want to get rid of is similar to what
you want to keep. Given that your recording is of wildlife, I am guessing
relatively high frequencies. If so, you can afford to knock off low
frequencies.
If the wind is blustery and hits the mic from time to time, it would be good to
either lower the level when that happens or delete the section if that does not
take out sounds you really want.
For future reference, do you have a windshield on your mic? Some mics are more
susceptible to wind noise than others. I have a couple of condenser mics and
even the breeze of opening a door causes them to pop without a windshield.

When applying reverb in Audacity I like to duplicate the track and apply the

sound card at very least. You can use the mixer to spread the band across the

Another question: if I have a band, for example bass guitar, guitar and
keyboard. I plug in all three instruments to the mixer. The band play
together, but I want to record each instrument on his own track. As far I know
you need a specific soundcard, but how did record it? To press ® will not work.

To get the second effect, you use Reverb. There are presets in Audacity. Use

I have a vocal recording, but want to put it threw a filter so that it sound
that the person is talking threw a telephone to you.
My second question is basically on the same. I have a vocal recording and want
to put some echoes on the recording so that it sound that person is standing in
a big hall or auditorium.
What can I do to get this type of effects?
