Thanks Tony, I downloaded Switch and extracted the audio from my video. I now have it in audacity and want to remove the static. How do I highlight the portion of the audio to use as my sample of what I want to delete? ----- Original Message ----- From: Tony Olivero To: audacity4blind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 14, 2011 9:59 PM Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: audio from video Greg, I'm not sure about doing it with Audacity, but I use a program call Switch from NCH Software to extract audio from video files. This assumes that the movies are already encoded in a digital format. You can find Switch at http://www.nch.com.au. Is there an audio extractor that works with Jaws? I have home videos with terrible static that I would like to clean. Greg
